Description

The Swiss education system is characterised by federalism and organised in a decentralised way. Basically, the responsibility for education lies with the cantons (states). Except for the Swiss Federal Institute for Technology, the cantons are responsible for enforcement. Therefore, each University defines the contents of its curriculum itself. However, the curricula are influenced by various factors.
