Description
The management of a company's integrity is becoming more and more important. Due to legitimate claims and the pressure from different stakeholder groups it is no longer sufficient for a firm to be simply profitable. It has to act responsible to humans and the non-human environment. The implementation of an integrity management system (IMS) helps to safeguard the moral rights of those who are affected by a company's actions or decisions. Based on a re-interpretation of the stakeholder model as introduced by R. E. Freeman an IMS must not only "manage" powerful stakeholders but safeguard all legitimate claims and start with the right intention to act in a legitimate way.
