Prof. Dr. Hermann Garbers ist am 30. März 2021 im Alter von 81 Jahren verstorben. Er war von 1975 bis 2005 ordentlicher Professor für Ökonometrie und mathematische Statistik am Institut für Empirische Wirtschaftsforschung der Universität Zürich, das er zeitweise auch leitete.
