Ökonomen-Ranking 2021: Ernst Fehr zum achten Mal in Folge auf Platz 1
Jährlich publizieren die NZZ, F.A.Z und Die Presse gemeinsam das sogenannte «Ökonomen-Ranking», welches nicht nur das Standing von Forscherinnen und Forschern in der Wissenschaft, sondern auch in der Öffentlichkeit berücksichtigt. Seit Jahren führt Prof. Ernst Fehr dieses Ranking unangefochten an, so auch 2021.

New Head of the Department of Banking and Finance: Pablo Koch Medina
As of 1 August 2021, Pablo Koch Medina will take over from Marc Chesney as Head of the Department of Banking and Finance. Pablo Koch Medina is an Associate Professor of Finance and Insurance in Department since 2016. The new Directorate is completed by Thorsten Hens (Deputy) and Per Östberg.

Die DIZH fördert mit vier Millionen Franken zehn Innovationsprojekte
Innovative Lösungen für die Herausforderungen der digitalen Transformation entwickeln und umsetzen: Dieses Ziel verfolgen die zehn Projekte, die vom Innovationsprogramm der Digitalisierungsinitiative der Zürcher Hochschulen (DIZH) bewilligt wurden. Bei einem Projekt ist das Blockchain Center der Wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät beteiligt.

Successful AACSB re-accreditation
As of 25 June 2021 the Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics received the re-accreditation by AACSB for another five years. This is in addition to the successful re-accreditation by EQUIS in December last year. Both accreditations confirm that the Faculty belongs to the best schools in Business and Economics in Europe and the world.
