Since 1 October Lauren C. Howe is an Assistant Professor in Management at the Department of Business Administration. Her research focuses on how individuals and organizations can harness fundamentally human attributes – such as emotion, empathy, and social relationships – to improve the world of work as rapid advances in technology and other forces change it.
Alessandro Ferrari joined our Faculty at the beginning of September 2020 as an Assistant Professor for Empirical Economics / Empirical Policy Analysis. He studied economics at the European University Institute in Florence and received his doctorate in 2020. His research focuses on international macroeconomics, international trade and industrial organizations.
Ana Costa-Ramón joined our Faculty at the beginning of September 2020 as an Assistant Professor of Economics of Child and Youth Development. Dr. Costa-Ramón has been a Research Fellow at the Center for Research in Health and Economics at the University of Pompeu Fabra since 2014.

Teodora Boneva erhält vom Europäischen Forschungsrat einen ERC Starting Grant in der Höhe von 1,5 Millionen Euro. Die Assistenzprofessorin in Economics, gestiftet vom Jacobs Center for Productive Youth Development, ist seit diesem Frühjahr am Institut für Volkswirtschaftslehre und forscht unter anderem auf dem Gebiet der Kindesentwicklung und der Elternschaft.
Prof. Dr. Alexander Wagner wurde auf den 1. September 2020 zum ordentlichen Professor für Finance befördert. Er ist seit 2014 als ausserordentlicher Professor am Institut für Banking und Finance tätig.
Die Universität Zürich lanciert fünf neue Universitäre Forschungsschwerpunkte (UFSP). Einer davon ist «Equality of Opportunity», der von Prof. David Dorn geleitet wird.
